When asked how she manages work and family now that her children are grown, Gauri revealed that maintaining balance has always been second nature, thanks to the unwavering support of her family. She believes discipline and organization are key, adding that her priority is always family.

“I prioritize family time and set up meetings around those commitments, and that works very well,” she shared.

Mannat: More Than a House

Gauri expressed her deep emotional connection to Mannat, describing it as a haven of peace and inspiration. “Mannat is more than just a house for me; it’s a place filled with memories, love, and the essence of our journey as a family,” she said.

One of her favorite spots in Mannat is the library, a tranquil space where she finds inspiration and calm amidst her busy life.

Plans for Mannat’s Expansion

Recent reports suggest that Shah Rukh and Gauri are planning a significant expansion of Mannat, their historic residence originally built in 1914. The proposed addition of two new floors is estimated to cost approximately ₹25 crore.

According to Times Now, Gauri submitted a request to the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) in November 2024. This proposal was reviewed during an MCZMA meeting on December 10 and 11, indicating progress toward this ambitious upgrade. If approved, Mannat will gain a seventh and eighth floor, further enhancing its grandeur.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Upcoming Projects

On the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan is preparing to start filming for King, an action thriller directed by Sujoy Ghosh. The film is particularly special as it marks his first collaboration with his daughter, Suhana Khan, alongside actors Abhishek Bachchan and Abhay Verma.

Additionally, Shah Rukh has lent his iconic voice to Mufasa in the Hindi version of The Lion King, set for release on December 20, 2024.
