Salman Khan Breaks Silence on Akshay Kumar’s Absence from ‘Bigg Boss 18’ Finale
For those unaware, Akshay Kumar was slated to appear alongside Salman Khan during the finale of Bigg Boss 18 on Sunday, promoting his upcoming film Sky Force with co-star Veer Pahariya. However, the actor unexpectedly left the set without filming his segment.
According to Indian media, Kumar arrived on time, but delays in the shoot caused by Khan’s late arrival led to the situation. After waiting for over an hour, Kumar departed due to prior professional commitments, including work on his film Jolly LLB 3.
Reports suggest that the show’s producers attempted to persuade Kumar to return, but he declined.
Salman Khan addressed the matter during the finale when Veer Pahariya joined him on stage, accompanied by evicted contestant Eisha Singh, to discuss Sky Force. Khan clarified, “Akki [Akshay Kumar] is also in the film. I got a little late, and he had to leave for another function, so he left.”
Directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Kapur, Sky Force also stars Sara Ali Khan and Nimrat Kaur. The war thriller is set to release on January 24, just ahead of Indian Republic Day. Meanwhile, Bigg Boss 18 concluded with Karan Veer Mehra emerging as the winner of the season.
