According to sources, the harrowing attack unfolded in the children’s room of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Mumbai home, where their sons, Taimur Ali Khan and Jeh Ali Khan, were present. Kareena Kapoor was also at home at the time.

When Saif spotted the intruder, he immediately confronted the burglar to safeguard his family. In the ensuing struggle, the thief attacked Saif with a knife, leaving the actor with six injuries, including:

Ibrahim Ali Khan, Saif’s son from his previous marriage, played a crucial role in the aftermath. Upon learning about the attack, he rushed to the scene and transported his injured father to Lilavati Hospital.

Dr. Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, confirmed that Saif underwent neurosurgery to address his spinal injury. Plastic surgeons are also treating his other wounds, and the actor is now stable and recovering.

How the Intruder Bypassed Security
Mumbai crime branch officials revealed that the burglar bypassed the building’s security systems by scaling 12 floors through a shaft. The suspect initially encountered house staff in the maid’s quarters but managed to escape after being locked in the children’s room. The residence’s rear safety wall, reportedly not high enough, facilitated the intruder’s entry.

Additionally, only one watchman was on duty during the incident, and no CCTV footage captured the intruder in the lift or main lobby, suggesting he used unconventional entry points.
