Nargis Fakhri’s Sister Allegedly Arrested in New York for Double Murder

Aliya Fakhri, sister of Bollywood actress Nargis Fakhri, has reportedly been arrested in New York on charges of murder. According to Indian media, Aliya is accused of killing her ex-boyfriend, Edward Jacobs, and his female companion, Anastasia Ettienne, in Queens.

Authorities allege that Aliya set fire to a two-story home, leading to the victims’ deaths from smoke inhalation. Reports suggest the incident was driven by jealousy over Jacobs’ relationship with Ettienne.

Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz stated that the fire was intentionally set, resulting in a tragic loss of life. Aliya has been denied bail following her arraignment at Queens Criminal Court.

Nargis Fakhri’s mother defended Aliya’s character, expressing disbelief at the allegations but acknowledged her daughter’s struggles with opioid addiction, which could have influenced her behavior.

Jacobs’ mother revealed that the former couple had ended their relationship a year ago but claimed Aliya continued to pursue him.

Nargis Fakhri, known for her Bollywood debut in Rockstar (2011), has not yet commented on the situation.
