Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh Introduce Daughter Dua, Reveal Her Face
Bollywood’s star couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh introduced their three-month-old daughter, Dua Padukone Singh, to a select group of paparazzi during a private event in Mumbai.
According to Indian media, the duo, who welcomed their first child in September, hosted an intimate gathering at the clubhouse of their Prabhadevi Society on Monday evening. Around 15-20 paparazzi were invited to the event, where the couple revealed their daughter’s face but requested that no photos be taken or published until they are ready.
The paparazzi were required to leave their cameras and phones outside the venue. However, Deepika and Ranveer ensured that individual photos were clicked with each paparazzo on the couple’s personal phones as a gesture of appreciation.
Recalling the special moment, a Mumbai-based paparazzo said, “When we arrived, Deepika and Ranveer were already there. Deepika then went inside and brought baby Dua in her arms. Throughout the meeting, Dua clung to her mother. They requested us to keep our voices low since Dua had just woken up from her nap. It was a beautiful experience.”
The couple, known for their private nature, explained the significance of their daughter’s name. On November 1, during the Diwali festivities, they shared that the name Dua, meaning ‘prayer,’ symbolizes that she is the answer to their prayers.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, who tied the knot in a grand ceremony at Lake Como, Italy, in 2018, continue to capture hearts with their love story and new journey into parenthood.
