Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt extended heartfelt congratulations to filmmaker Payal Kapadia on her groundbreaking Golden Globes nomination. Kapadia earned India’s first-ever nod in the prestigious awards for her film All We Imagine As Light, securing nominations for Best Director (Motion Picture) and Best Motion Picture – Non-English Language at the 82nd Golden Globes 2025.

All We Imagine As Light delves into the lives of two women: Prabha, a troubled nurse navigating a complex relationship with her estranged husband, and Anu, her roommate exploring intimacy with her boyfriend. The story unfolds in a scenic beach town, where both characters confront their deepest desires and emotions. The film features Kani Kusruti, Divya Prabha, and Chhaya Kadam in pivotal roles.
This critically acclaimed project has already received widespread recognition, including the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival—making it the first Indian film in 30 years to compete in the festival’s main section.
